What is the expecco Runtime Version for?[Bearbeiten]

The runtime version has no editing functions. This means that neither action blocks nor testplans can be created or modified. However, this version supports all execution features. It can load and execute test suites and generate report files or upload results to the expecco ALM-QM.
A runtime version is useful if you have more test machines than developer workstations - but especially in interaction with expecco ALM. expecco ALM is able to download test suites to a test host via a REST/SOAP interface, start a test execution there, and pick up the result afterwards. In general, only a runtime version needs to be installed on test machines, which then wait for requests in "slave" mode. In large test departments, this provides a very cost-effective automation solution.
