Geänderte Elemente bei Neuselektion automatisch übernehmen[Bearbeiten]
Falls aktiviert, fragt expecco nicht, ob Änderungen akzeptiert werden sollen, die im aktuellen Editor vorgenommen wurden, wenn sich die Auswahl geändert hat.
Die Änderungen werden dann automatisch akzeptiert und es wird kein Bestätigungsdialog geöffnet.
Diese Einstellung ist zunächst deaktiviert. Das Bestätigungsdialogfeld "Geändertes Element speichern" enthält auch ein Kontrollkästchen, um diese Bestätigung in Zukunft zu deaktivieren. Erfahrene Benutzer haben dieses Flag normalerweise auf "Ein" gesetzt.
Namen durch Klick auf Selektion editieren[Bearbeiten]
Wenn Sie erneut auf den Namen des ausgewählten Elements klicken öffnen Sie einen Editor, um den Namen des Elements zu ändern.
Wenn deaktiviert, können Sie den Editor über das Menü öffnen.
Standardmäßig ist dies deaktiviert, da die meisten Benutzer dieses Verhalten eher ärgerlich als nützlich fanden ;-)
Namen neuer Elemente automatisch editieren[Bearbeiten]
Nach dem Erstellen eines neuen Elements wird der Editor zum Ändern des Namens des Elements für das Element geöffnet, um es sofort umzubenennen. Obwohl dieses Flag standardmäßig deaktiviert ist, ist es eine gute Idee, etwas Disziplin zu erzwingen, um jedem Element einen vernünftigen Namen zu geben.
Initially Select All when Editing Names[Bearbeiten]
If the editor to change the name of the element will be opened, the whole string is initially selected. This behaviour is on by default, and makes it easier to give an item a completely new name. However, it makes it harder (i.e. requires another click or keypress) to only insert or change a few characters. Whichever you prefer is a matter of personal preferences.
DoubleClick to Rename Tree Elements[Bearbeiten]
If on, a Doubleclick on a Tree Element opens the input-field to modify the element's name. Some users prefer this for faster renaming, instead of the popup menu or keyboard shortcut.
Select Tree Element on Right Click[Bearbeiten]
If on, a right click will also change the selection to the element under the mouse pointer, before opening the context menu If off, the selection remains unchanged and only the menu appears.
The first is standard Windows behaviour, the second is more common among the Unix community. The first has the disadvantage, that you have to move the mouse much more often and that you occasionally open the menu on the wrong item. Therefore, experienced users usually prefer to turn this off.
Keep Name of Copied Items when Pasting[Bearbeiten]
Keep the name of the copied icons during paste; otherwise a unique name is generated by the system.
Allow Duplicate Names[Bearbeiten]
Allow duplicated names for different elements.
Expecco internally does not depend on the item's name - it uses UUIDs to address elements. Therefore, duplicate names are no technical problem for expecco, but definitely make your life as developer much harder. Therefore, this flag is better off to avoid confusion. (it is planned to be removed from the settings in future versions, unless some user complains and gives good reasons for keeping it)

If enabled, the navigation tree shows guiding lines which connect elements on the same hierarchy level.
Mark New Items with "!"[Bearbeiten]
If enabled, new created items (during the current session) are shown with an appended "!" (exclamation mark) in the tree. Items are no longer considered new, once the suite is saved. This makes it easy to identify items which were created anew in the current session.
Show VersionID in the Tooltip[Bearbeiten]
If enabled, the tooltip also shows the element's versionID. This is usually only of interest to expecco developers.
Show an Item's Type-Icon in the Testplan Tree[Bearbeiten]
If enabled, an icon describing the type of test-entry (Activity or Sub-Testplan) is shown in testplans.
Show Risks in the Testplan as Numeric Prio[Bearbeiten]
If enabled, a numeric priority value is shown; otherwise, symbolic names ("high",..."low") are shown.
