What is the expecco Runtime Version for?[Bearbeiten]

This has no block editing function. This means that neither elementary nor composite blocks can be created. However, this version supports all features of the pro version on the execution page. It can load and execute test suites of all other variants. A runtime version is always useful if you have more test machines than developer workstations - but especially in interaction with expecco ALM. expecco ALM is able to download test suites to a test host via a SOAP interface, start a test execution there, and pick up the results afterwards. In general, only the runtime version is installed on the test machines, which then waits for requests in "slave" mode. In large test departments, this provides a very cost-effective automation solution.
