Look & Feel Settings[Bearbeiten]

Experience Level[Bearbeiten]

Can be set to one of "Beginner", "Experienced" or "Expert", to hide or show additional (and more) options in the user interface, especially additional items in the context menus.

Create Initial Tree Structure when Creating a New Suite[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, a newly created test suite gets filled with a number of empty items. This is mostly for beginners, to get some item examples initially. You may want to disable this, once you get more experienced with expecco.

This initial set of items can be removed by pressing "Undo" right after the new suite has been created.

Display the Testsuite's Filename in the Window Title Area[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the filename of the test suite is shown in the title of the window. This is the default setting.

Focus Follows Mouse[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, keyboard input is sent to the window under the mouse pointer (Unix behavior).
If disabled, you have to click into a window to associate the keyboard focus (Windows behavior).

Dialog Boxes always in Front[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, dialog boxes will always stay in front of other windows. This is especially useful, if you work in full screen mode (expecco fully expanded), or if other expecco windows (Transcript, for example) are shown and you want to avoid that dialog boxes get covered.

Raise Expecco Window when Execution Stopped or Finished[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the expecco window will be raised to the front when a test execution is finished or stopped due to a breakpoint. Useful, if you want to perform other tasks, while a longer running test is executed in the background, but you want to be informed when the test finishes.

Raise the Transcript Window when Active[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the Transcript window (which is the expecco log-output-console) will be raised whenever new output is sent to it. The Transcript is not shown by default - it is opened via the "Extras" - "Tools" - "Transcript" menu item.

Raise the Control Window when Active[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the control window (if activated) will be raised whenever new output is sent to it.

When Loading a Suite, Show First Test Plan[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the first test plan is selected and shown when a new suite is loaded (and there is any test plan in the suite). Otherwise, the suite's item is selected. This setting is useful for test executors, whereas test developers usually prefer the suite item to be initially selected.

When Loading a Suite, Show Documentation[Bearbeiten]

If enabled, the documentation item is selected and shown when a new suite is loaded. Otherwise, the suite's item is selected.
