Gembird Power Manager Control Plugin[Bearbeiten]

This plugin controls three power sockets which are connected to a Gembird LAN-controlled power manager. It can be used to either control the power of test equipment remotely (i.e. turn a machine on for a test), or to display the test-status (red/yellow/green) with 3 connected lamps.

Controlling the Equipment Power[Bearbeiten]

You will find action blocks in a support library/demo suite. Of course, you should not enable the red/yellow/green status display, if equipment is to be controlled. See the settings. By default, the automatic status display is off.

Displaying the Test Status/Outcome[Bearbeiten]

For proper operation, connect a red lamp to socket1, yellow lamp to socket2 and a green lamp to socket3. Enable lamp control in the settings dialog.

Test/Status Display Operation[Bearbeiten]

When enabled, the yellow lamp will be turned on during every test run. When finished with success, the green lamp is turned on, otherwise the red lamp.

Leave Red Lamp On Mode[Bearbeiten]

In this mode, the red lamp is never turned off after a test run, but remains on, if any test run ever failed. This is useful, if many tests are to be run one after the other (over night), and you want a quick indicator, if any of the previous runs failed. In the office, if you position those lamps in an exposed location, you will immediately get a red-light signal, whenever a test fails. This is also useful, if expecco is used as a test-stand in the test floor.

Configuration[Bearbeiten]

For operation, the hostname and password of the Gembird device's HTTP interface has to be entered into the settings dialog, which is found in "Extras"->"Settings"->"Plugins"-">Gembird Power Manager".

License[Bearbeiten]

The Gembird plugin is included in the base system; no extra licensing or costs apply.
