expeccoNET is a centralized, web based management system, which performs the following tasks: |

* distribution and scheduling of tests among a farm of test execution hosts (the "test slaves") |
|||
* triggering of test runs based on time schedules, source code changes or explicit triggers |
|||
* management of resources such as test equipment or human operators |
|||
* issue tracking (defects, requirements or general actions) and linkage of test results to issues |
|||
* project progress tracking based on the above |
|||
* user, customer, project, component management including ticket accounting for customer relation management |
|||
* multiple clients, roles, groups with fine-grain control of artefact visibility |
|||
* versioning, change history |
|||
* various statistics, dashboards and reports on project/progress status |
|||
* multi user, multi language, browser based user interface using dynamic html for immediate feedback and live information display |
|||
expeccoNET can interface with various other QA systems, for example to add test scheduling and resource management |
|||
to systems which do not support such features (e.g. HP Quality Centre). |

expeccoNET can interact and control with various test systems, but has special additional interfaces for expecco test slaves. Especially the resource management and reporting features are especially tailored for expecco. |

Overview
