Widget Tree 1
The left tree shows the hierarchy of elements inside the application. For a web browser app, these are the elements of the page; for a desktop app, these are the UI widgets. These are specific to the UI technology, but the general principle is the same. If any is selected, its attributes and possible actions on it are shown in the center area.
The tree is normally not automatically updated, to ensure that UIs where items are dynamically created and destroyed can be inspected. To force an update, use the reload button at the top. Notice the "Delayed Reload" functions found in the button's pull down menu; these are useful to capture the tree of eg. popup windows or menus, which will vanish as soon as you click or move the mouse.
