My settings are no longer available after a restart?[Bearbeiten]
- Settings are only applied to the current session. To save them permanently, they must be saved using the "Save" button.
Extending/changing the license file[Bearbeiten]
- You will receive a mail from eXept with the license file
- please close expecco
- delete the file .expeccoLicense in your own user directory (e.g. C:\Users\username).
- open expecco, here a license file is required
- via Drag & Drop you can now drag in your new file.
What happens with a (expecco-) release upgrade?[Bearbeiten]
- We make every effort to ensure compatibility with new releases. In general, you do not have to adapt or reimport existing suites or libraries. All suites are self-contained, i.e. they contain all previously imported components and will not be changed by the release change (as long as you do not save them from the new expecco version).
- In some (few) cases, incompatibilities occurred in the past, e.g. due to changed time behavior or because a bug was fixed and a workaround (of the user) in the new suite was no longer suitable. The latter can only occur after a reimport.
- If your suite does not run on a new release in unchanged state (i.e. without re-import), this is generally classified as an eXept error. Please report this and enter the bug in expecco ALM, we will fix it as soon as possible with a patch.
- To be on the safe side: when upgrading from one release to another, first read the release notes which point out incompatibilities and let the suite(s) run in the new release without writing them back to your release management. You can (and should) install expecco in parallel in a separate directory and run both versions temporarily in parallel.
