Tag Icons

This dialog is used to specify per-tag icons for items in the left navigation tree. These settings are user-specific and stored in the private settings file; not in the suite. Therefore, in a team, each member can use his/her own tag-icon settings.

An example use is to associate an extra icon to obsolete actions, or actions which are used as test cases (i.e. top level compounds which are to be placed into a testplan). The dialog is used in a similar fashion to the tag color settings dialog.

You find these under "Extras" → "Settings" → "Look & Feel" → "Tag Icons".

Adding a Tag Icon Spec

  • Enter one or more tags into the top box, or choose from the list of existing tags. Notice that the tag is case sensitive.
  • Select an icon to associate to the tag.
  • Click on "Add".

Removing a Tag Icon Spec

  • Select a spec-row in the list
  • Press the "Remove" button.

Changing a Tag Icon Spec:

  • Select a spec-row in the list
  • Choose another icon
  • Click on "Add".

Tag Matching

A tree element's tags are specified in the "Documentation"-tab of the element's editor. Items can have multiple tags.

Tree elements which have matching tags will be shown with the specified icon. If you enter more than one tag into the tag-field (a tag group), an element must have all the tags for a match, and for that icon to be used. If an element has multiple tags, the best match (the entry which has most matching tags) will specify the icon. If the same number of tags matches, the first tag to match determines the icon (i.e. the order of tags in the item makes a difference).
Notice that these tags are case sensitive.

Tag(s) to Hide Items

Libraries can mark actions as private. These will be shown in the tree, but not offered in the "New Step" and "Replace Step" dialogs of the diagram editor. You will also have to confirm via an extra confirmation dialog when dragging & dropping such a tree item.

By default, the tag to mark private items is "PRIVATE", but you can add additional such hide-tags here (as a comma separated list).
Notice, that these tags are case sensitive.
